Elizabeth Thomson: Invitation to Openness—Substantive and Transitive States
This ambitious installation by Wellington based sculptor Elizabeth Thomson featured hundreds of moths.
Each moth was hand made using a bronze casting technique, then flocked white to give it a hyppereal quality.
Invading the gallery space, the moths created an immersive environment, landing on the walls of their own accord without the restriction of order, as if it was their natural habitat.
