Peter Peryer: A Careful Eye
More a selection than a survey, Peter Peryer: A Careful Eye revealed the compositional and thematic motifs that Peter Peryer has employed over his 40 year carear, with over 50 works from the 1970s to the 2010s.
The exhibition explored the uncanny and beautiful photographs of Peryer, which capture the mystery in objects and scenes we often take for granted in everyday life—and the narratives and stories that could found in them.
Peter Peryer: A Careful Eye was accompanied by a catalogue featuring all works in the exhibition, alongside an introduction by Courtney Johnston, an essay by Jim Barr and Mary Barr and an essay by me. My essay can be read here on this website.
